His Story:
In December of 2006 Jake was skating out as a center on his Mite team. The team did not have a full time goalie until the Head Coach JR Krekorian took a chance on a kid that raised his hand and said I’ll play goalie. With the help of his goalie coach, Dina Cloutier, Jake has gone from a kid that wanted to be a goalie to a very strong goalie. Jake has played with the league’s Mite, Squirt teams and has helped out the Peewee teams when they need a practice goalie. Jake also fills in with the Rhode Island Saints when their top goalie is unavailable. Jake plays a standup style with many tools in his goalie tool box. The SRI Jr Rams play home games at the Boss Ice Arena on the Kingston campus of the University of Rhode Island.
